In current exhibitions as well as on request, the gallery offers, selected early twentieth century works ranging from Impressionism to German Post-Impressionism.
Renowned museums, such as the “Schlossmuseum Murnau” or the “Neue Pinakothek” in Munich, have bought works by Otto Pippel, Max Liebermann or Heinrich von Zügel here.
Apart from that, Galerie Wimmer was the first to exhibit works by internationally reputable Chinese artist Chen Yifei in Germany:

Being the most famous Chinese painter of the 20th century, Chen Yifei creates poetic works of outstanding quality. His paintings oscillate between striking (Photo)Realism and rich, sophisticated Tonalism. Graceful women, portraits of the Tibetan rural population, places of the artist’s personal memory and scenes from Shanghai’s Golden Age add up to a complex and enigmatic oeuvre.
