Welcome to Munich’s oldest gallery: Since 1825 the former “Hofkunsthandlung” (royal art gallery) located in the centre of Munich has presented fine works by well-known artists combining traditional paintings with contemporary art.

19^th-century oil paintings, water colours and sculptures, e.g. from the Munich or Düsseldorf School, early 20^th-century art and selected contemporary works have shaped the gallery’s program.
